a few times a week, my staff would tell me funny stories about some of the crazy people who call or write to, and funny as they say.
This time it was about someone who has repeatedly written to our helpdesk, first demanding to speak salesman, then insisting that we should have the sellers, if you expect to sell our products.
This person obviously has no concept of economy of small businesses and why it is absurd to even consider hiring a sales staff, when our product only costs $ 97, but that's another story altogether.
back on topic, there is no reason why they have vendors for their products is a very bad idea. It's the same reason why more do not take orders over the phone, and now internet-only.
It comes down to the simple fact that we do not want customers who fall into any of these categories:
- People who have never taken any action
- People who need constant hand-holding
- People who can not decide on its
- People who want to "get rich quick 'without a job
- People who do not appreciate the value of
Does this policy cost me sales? I do not know, and frankly, I do not care.
The bottom line is that there are some people I do not want as customers - such as those of extremely poor people who will whine, try to abuse my time (and their support staff), have no sense of humor, and are looking to get something for nothing on my account.
If this policy is costing me sales, okay.
But -. I'm not sure that the "cost" me anything
For one thing, when we had a call center, people who called to ask endless questions, instead of buying on-line, so they are hesitant when it comes to their inability to make decisions that they lose SO Much of my staff time on the phone that there is little profit left for me.
I mean seriously, would anyone really have issues when the 30-day trial at the site, all you have to do is send it back and never pay for it if they do not like?
What's really bizarre is that, although our return rate is very low, a large number of people sent the system back - unopened in original shrink wrap! What does it mean that the no action at all and gave up before even opening the box !!!!
So, no more phone sales. If they will not buy online, they can not have your product, and it is to.Brojevi do not like.
Am I to be too harsh?
No, I do not think so.
Successful people like to be told that. I know I do. We'd like to get the facts, even when they are not pleasant, it proved to us without the bs
sucker and scammers, on the other hand, love being told they will be swimming in sales commissions and night just to order products or buying books. (There are those people who abuse their slimy 30-day trial of ordering my system, so copy them, and promptly mailing it back, but there's not much I can do for them - it's just a business expense .)
It might offend some, but the bottom line is that the kind of people do not want to subscribe to my newsletter or buying my product.
Take it or leave it, that's the way it is.
Some people have the "attraction" marketing business.
I'm in the "reality" marketing business.
And you know what?
It's worked out very well so far!
