After the big screen can be plus or minus, depending on what you intend to use it for, and in particular about how you plan to carry around tablet. For example, I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab, considered one of the best Android tablets currently on the market, and a big selling point for me is the screen is actually much smaller than the iPad.
iPad screen is more than 10 inches, which is almost as big as a small laptop. It can be great if you plan to carry in a backpack all the time and want to watch videos on it, but it does make it harder to carry around. For me, the Galaxy Tab made more sense, because I do not wear a backpack and seemed to bring him to meetings.
So, again, no clear winner here. You May want to decide whether the first wireless device that is portable, or if you want the biggest screen possible. One caveat here, however - soon it will probably be Android tablet on the market that have a screen size iPad
.Apps
You can have a discussion about Android tablets without talking about the iPad applications. Apps make or break the tablet in my opinion. Once both operating systems to a large extent, I will say that although the iPad certainly has more applications than Android, I was disappointed with Android and you can find just about any application I can think of. In addition, almost every company that makes the iPad app makes Android applications, as well.
In fact, in my estimation, considering that Android sales now surpassing the iPhone and the fact I mentioned above - it is easier to develop applications and get the Android Market, I would not be surprised to see Android make up for Apple in the future, when it comes to applications.
Price
It seems that even the best Android tablets are cheaper overall, and you can find some good, inexpensive Android tablet out there. Both data plans, and you can not do much without a data plan unless the tablets remain in WiFi zones, so it will probably end up paying about the same there.
However, when it comes to the price of the device, Android wins.
This argument will rage on during 2011, but when it comes to Android tablets vs iPad, I'm all for free!
